Shower Puff…

A funny blog post about a suction cup, from Midlife Dramas in PyjamasSo, shower puffs? I’m all for them. They make the shower gel lather up beautifully.

Shower puffs with a hanging loop attached? Great. Means they hang up over the shower controls.

Shower puffs with a hanging loop, and a suction cup attached? WHAT?? It means you can stick it to the wall – fab in principle, bonkers in practice.

Every time you swing the shower puff round to a different part of your body, the suction cup randomly attaches itself to the nearest wall. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve moved it through my legs, and then tried to bring it back only to discover it’s stuck to the rear wall.

Knocking my forehead on the soap dish, as my arm jerks with the shower puff’s refusal to move, is now a daily occurrence.

And don’t get me started on trying to pick it up from the floor…

  1. Laughed out loud at this! I hit my head on the soap dish this morning in the shower, even without the aid of a suction-cupped shower puff.

  2. Hilarious. That made me laugh out loud. While playing the scenario out in my head of it happening to me!!! Christ, I’d go bonkers. I’m not a fan of flannels or anything that tries to be one so chances are it will never happen to me. BUT they do look pretty hanging up #tweensteensbeyond

  3. Lol! All these modern ‘conveniences’ and their unintended side-effects huh? I recently bought a Shower Puff for £1 thinking it was a huge bargain. After the first use, the netting began to unravel and for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get it back together into a neat little puff. Whoever invented these should be both praised and damned!
